In the midst of looking for pieces for the vintage 90s theater we’re building, I found these Aon 2s listed for $400. Jumped on them, drove up to Santa Fe to pick them up. They are incredible little speakers. I almost never see these used (in fact I don’t think I have) but heard them about 10 years ago and thought they were the only budget speaker that could really imagine like and better than the Vandersteen 1Cs I had at the time. Listening impressions are, I can’t stop listening to them. The tweeters are so damn good. The big surprise: those passive radiators are killer for rap and hip hop. With radiant bass type tracks, you’d almost be fooled into thinking it was a small floor standing speaker. ???? I do adore them. I imagine the will somehow live in the living room with our vintage theater as music speakers.
