[Breguet 7027] Sold my Bel Canto for it
| I recently sold my CW Bel Canto for this Breguet 7027 in white gold. While I think the Bel Canto is such a cool (and actually kinda useful) complication for the money and a big step in what smaller brands can do for less, I still was not wearing it very much. I’ve been trying to “upgrade” some watches (Aqua Terra > Moser streamliner for example), so this felt like a good opportunity since I’ve always loved the Tradition line and both the 7027 and Bel Canto share the small 12 o’clock main dial visual. And yes, it’s not completely practical with the small time display but watches are more about the design and mechanical beauty to me than simply time-telling tools. The 7027 is technically 37mm but really wears closer to 39mm. I wanted to go with the 7037 with retrograde seconds instead of power reserve indicator, but it wore too large. I think this looks great on my 6.5” wrist. Also, I swapped out the OEM black crocodile with this brown leather to make it a bit more casual. Any other Breguet owners? Kind of a dying brand which is too bad considering all the innovation they have brought to watchmaking g (including the overcoil hairspring which can be seen here). Thanks for stopping by and check out my collection in my posts (before I sold my Bel Canto for this) Cheers [link] [comments] |
