A Fully Self-sufficient Van, sketched out

A Fully Self-sufficient Van, sketched out

My perfect van is completely self-sufficient: • It has infinite water, thanks to filtered rainwater collection. • Solar panels generate all the power I need. And More. • An incinerating toilet means no black tank—just eco-friendly ash!

I sketched it out on a Mercedes eSprinter for fun, and now I’m wondering: Is this actually doable?

I know solar efficiency isn’t high enough for actual driving, but it’s more than enough for everything else—even extending range a bit.

Small rainwater filtration systems already exist, and so do advanced incinerating toilets.

The van is stealthy, sleeps four people, has both a workspace and dining area, a washer/dryer combo, and still offers plenty of closet space. I mean I put everything in there, from full bathroom to full size motorized bed.

This would mean theoretically unlimited off-grid Time. How unrealistic is this, please tell me what’s wrong with it so I can stop thinking about it… Chatgpt told me this was a great idea but it’s been telling me that on everything lately : |
