Ribs are too salty. Need to reheat, can I fix them?
| So I smoked a pork shoulder and some ribs yesterday. Pulled pork turned out perfect and the ribs are cooked perfectly too. However, it was Costco STL style and didn’t realize how overpowering their brine and seasoning was. I generously applied some Strawberry brand rub on them before smoking and they’re just too salty. Since I made these for a family dinner and need to reheat them anyway, I’m wondering if I can do something to rinse off some of that rub when I reheat them, and also wonder what the best reheat method is? I assume it’s part of the bark now and I’ll learn my lesson, but does anyone have some tips to cut down the salty flavor? Thanks and hope you all have a happy 4th! [link] [comments] |
