Tested yesterday propane hot water heater. Faster and hotter water than at home.

First off, yes its propane, it will be disconnected during non use. I.e travel, sleep etc. Will only be in use with the door open. I have a gas and Co monitor right next to it as well.

But for a $150 its the best choice vs electric/gas tank/tankless heaters. (This would be on demand gas tankless?)

At mid heat settings and low water pressure its working out really well. 3 seconds and I have 108° F water for washing dishes etc.

I coated the entire cabinet in plastidip with an undercoat of wood sealer as well to protect from moisture.

Regardless I've seen a lot of posts recently about water heaters, this should be a good compromise for those who want to try it. Just remember to put away your propane bottle each time, and operated with doors open.

I will most likely reroute the propane bottle/hose to a different area to the right away from the heater.
