Growing up in South Africa, food cooked with fire is a common part of my life. We now live in Germany and are amused by our neighbours confusion that we braai (grill) outside of "season" (what even is that).

We have a kettle braai, not weber that we use at least once a week for grilling, smoking and even baking.

The photo is from a few weeks back. Lamb from the Turkish supermarket, steak from Namibia and I really enjoy the flavour certain veg get from the fire.
