First grill encounter
![]() | Hey all, I got a Weber Smokey Mountain last week and started my first grill today, I'm going for beef jerky. However I encountered something. At the start I couldn't stop the white smoke from coming and after about an hour, it went away and the temperature was stable. Now about half an hour ago (3 hours in) I tossed in one more piece of apple wood and stirred up the coals a bit, which made the smoke come back more than before as shown in the picture, together with a massive heat spike. I'm currently choking the coals by closing the bottom vents down. What went wrong? Cheers! [link] [comments] |
