Hi all, I hope you've having a lovely day!

My partner and I have been on the road for 7 months (Canada and US), and we only have one more month to finish our roadtrip.

The last major city we're visiting is Los Angeles and we're looking for some recommendations. We've been sleeping inside our converted Sienna minivan, and after all this time we think we deserve a robber bed in a hotel, haha.

Jokes aside, big cities have always been a challenge to sleep in the car, so we might as well go for an hotel, save the trouble, have a confortable nigh and leave the car stopped. I know this sub is more about the outdoors, but I've figured some of you have stayed at an hotel in LA or are from LA and can give a good recommendation.

This is why I'm looking for recommendations on what area to choose? We're looking for somewhere safe, with affordable hotels and very close to good public transit to the main tourist attractions.
