Specifically referring to the Wavian NATO Jerry cans. I want to mount it in this orientation in my bed because I don’t have enough height for it to be standing up with my tonneau cover closed.

I assume it’s safe since they sell mounts for it… but is it really? Even if the tank is full above the level of the opening? Is the lid/spout area truly leakproof?
