Topper Upholstery: tips for lining the inside with carpet tiles?

Hey everybody, I'm building up the inside of the topper to become the sleeping area, and want to line it for insulation and condensation.

It's aluminum with black paint, I don't know the kind but probably automotive grade. I figure I'll need to clean it to remove oil and dirt before sticking. The floor and sides of the bed are rhino sprayed.

There are lots of uneven parts and mounting points so it'll be trimming and sticking the tiles.

Should I use extra adhesive on the tiles?

Does extreme hot/cold affect the stickiness? Like desert or snow.

Would there be a different process to stick them to the sides and floor where there's rhino lining?

Also thinking about how to line the floor, something like carpet tiles, or that gray vinyl (I forget what it's called, but it looks like steel deck plates...but vinyl), or just a large door mat.

Your tips and lessons learned are most appreciated! Thanks!

Extra info: I plan on a low sleeping platform on the right side, and a pull-out enclosure with the tail down to extend it (tall guy problems). That'll give me about 78".
