Posting this up as I am happy with this solution. I can transport my bike, and my 9ft board albeit I need to move the passenger seat forward and position the board diagonally. The van is a SWB T5. My conundrum was what to do with board while I sleep. I didn’t want the expense of roof rack system, and have heard of folks boards being stolen from roofs. And like wise I would not stow under the van. So I came up with this solution that allows me to stow in the van, and can be used with ease solo. Added a few brackets, use bungees to take the weight while I slide the board in, then elevate with straps, and rest the front on passenger seat head rest. It works well, and I feel quite happy about it ????
