Gifts for the best dad

Gifts for the best dad

Hi y’all!

This is about the time of year that I start thinking about Christmas gifts for my loved ones, and I usually try to find unique activities/experiences or personalized gifts.

My dad bought himself a jeep about 4 years ago now with the plan to start overlanding. He watches all of the YouTube videos and has slowly started getting his set up together. He’s been talking about this for ages now, and I can see how excited he is to step away from work more and start travelling.

To give a little bit of context, my dad has been running his own business since 2008, and he still works up to 12-16 hours a day during his busiest seasons. He is more than deserving of a break, but he’s procrastinating on the trips. Hasn’t gone on even one yet.

I really want to help him with the support and motivation to get started. I think a few things that he’s nervous about is how well he would sleep, as well as how he would get his dog Koda into the rooftop tent with him at night.

What would be some gift ideas that might help him feel more comfortable on a trip? What is an item that you swear by for your trips? And if you’ve spent time in the PNW - what are some trails in our “backyard” that might be good for even just a weekend trip?

I appreciate everyone’s help! Posting a picture of Koda for visibility :) hopefully my dad doesn’t go on Reddit! Lol
