Looking at buying a converted e350 cube truck. The build is perfect for me, I’ll be living in it for the next 5 years minimum.

If I can’t sell the truck in 5 years I’m okay with that. I can also remove the cube from the chassis and do a body swap if it comes down to it.

So what my question is is how much rust is too much rust? Will this be an issue in the next 5 years or will I deal with other issues long before the rust becomes a problem?

Additionally, what could I do at this point to prevent it getting worse? I know I can spray it with some type of wax but does that work when it’s this far along?

Don’t need a concrete answer but just want an understanding of what I could be getting myself into.

Pictured here is one of the worst spots but the whole chassis and box frame has some level of rust on it although no complete holes.
