I am looking to purchase a super pacific canopy tent set up for my 2021 ram 2500 power wagon. I am pricing out $2500 worth of upgrades or is it time to spend up to $20,000 on this hobby and trying to see what the right fit is for me and where I’m not seeing downfalls.

Currently have stock suspension looking at Thuren and Carli set ups or upgrade. I run 40 X 13.5 tires. I have a Smitty belt, XL tent and all the fixings to do week long trips except hot showers.

The truck is very capable and I do trails up to a 6 out of 10. I like to do a mix of dispersed camping and remote locations. I will stay at State campgrounds with full RV hook ups every five days.

I’m usually on the road 50-60 days a year. I have the ability to work remote and I just upgraded and got a Starlink and so I feel I will be camping more often.

My current headaches include no attachment for an awning or shower awning. Constantly getting everything out of the truck bed from under a bed cover in multiple husky totes. I’m starting to get things in certain places where they have a home or a certain layout in the truck bed but really I’m constantly in every door of the truck, truck bed and tent. The constant set up and teardown of the Smitty belt tent is about 15 minutes one way and 30 minutes if it’s cold or rainy. I also have to climb up on top of it to get the cover and the straps done and I don’t wanna be climbing all over a wet truck anymore. And the goddamn poles oh my God there’s like 12 poles to make this tent work right.

Anyways, that’s pretty much everything I could think to include looking for advice on making the next leap at minimum I want to get a wedge tent, next step up from there would be a super pacific, next step up from that would be a four-wheel camper.
