What’s the best way to repair this small hole in the mesh shelter of my tent?

It was our puppy’s first time staying in our tent, and he got to the mesh. Made a small hole.

Looking for the best method to repair it, and prevent it from getting bigger. I think sewing it closed will only make it worst, stressing the mesh more. Maybe some sort of glue or epoxy to sort of “cauterize” the hole?

Open to suggestions. What do you recommend?
