My wife and I were headed back home a few nights ago. We have a rich deer population in our area and it’s deer season so I was being extra vigilant. I thought I saw something in the distance, a quick silhouette, crossing the rear lights on the cars ahead of me. It was also raining lightly which made visibility even worse. By the time I realized that it was a person, they had already crossed over to the lane next to me. I honked as it was the only thing I could even think of doing that might help. The car next to me braked just enough in to time to narrowly miss hitting this person.
