Nested into the coastal mountains lies one of the Akiza Line's smallest and most remote stations, Kepu (or Cape) Station. Due to the steepness of the terrain and the threat of landslides, this entire section of the line has been heavily reinforced. Though the village it serves is mostly abandoned, the shrine atop the hill still regularly sees pilgrims, and the station itself is quite famous for its seaside views.

Restoration work on the Akiza Line is approaching the final stages, with completion and operations scheduled to commence in August. Make sure to stop and visit Kepu Station when it opens to the public.
