When your tubing both is too bad and too good at remaining attached…
| With this specific air pump I have going to a sponge filter in my 125, every connection point for the tubing likes to disconnect on its own just sitting there. I’ll come down, see the filter isn’t putting out any air, and have to fix it. Well today I decided to try and use different tubing to fix the issue, and so I went about removing the old tubing. The failure point from earlier, where it attached to the check valve, was so secure now I couldn’t even remove it. So I decided to focus on removing it directly from the pump itself… and didn’t think anything of it until I looked at the tubing and saw black at the end of it… then looked at the pump. And it just figures that Tetra sells the internal parts for replacements, but not that bottom. Not that I can find. So now I just have a busted air pump because I have nothing left to attach to. Unless it would maybe work if I sealed off the one side with super glue or something and connected to the other. ???? [link] [comments] |
