What is this? It popped up out of nowhere in my new planted tank.

What is this? It popped up out of nowhere in my new planted tank.

Set up a new tank and this stuff is growing all over the wood towards the top of the driftwood right under the light.

I thought it might be algae, but it doesn’t look like it now.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?
