Some of the handles I could not get off because this place was very much not taken care of before I moved here, so I taped them off. Then I realized that’s easier anyway. I have to finish the first coat, then I’m going over stains with shellac (it’s chalk paint), then there will be a second coat and a wax sealant.

Then I have to still paint a small alcove and install new flooring and new peel and stick on the countertops, and my kitchen will finally be cute after ten years of the last people hoarding and not cleaning. I can’t wait to post it when it’s finished, and then I move on to my final room to fix up, the bathroom.
