found pants that fit! help us find another pair? (might involve deciph…
A member of my household finally found a pair of affordable pants that fit! They are Kenneth Cole "4-way stretch" "slim fit" "tech" pants, and we found them on a $20 bargain rack. A tag says they were manufactured in January of 2024.
My overall question is this: can you help us find a second pair, ideally in a different color?
One possibility is Kenneth Cole's website. I cannot find "4-way stretch" "slim fit" "tech" pants any more, although I can find five-pocket tech pants that we don't want and "techni-Cole" slim fit stretch pants that are probably not the same exact pants but might be similar??? (Unfortunately, they cost $105 on the website. I saw them at a Macy's a long drive from our home for somewhere between $70 and $80, but even that is quite pricey for us--and far away distance-wise.)
This leads to one smaller question: If the Kenneth Cole "4-way stretch" "slim fit" "tech" pants manufactured in January of 2024 fit great, what are the odds that a pair of Kenneth Cole "techi-Cole" slim fit stretch pants from Macy's or the Kenneth Cole website would fit just as well (assuming same waist and inseam measurements)?
Another possiblity is eBay. We found a pair of Kenneth Cole "4-way stretch" "slim fit" "tech" pants with the same inseam and waist measurements. Their tag has a different "style number," though.
The tag on the pair we own says "K09M99KHAE1." The tag on the eBay pair says "K09E69BLK1P"
I think I understand some of these characters but not others. Below is a breakdown.
| Our pants (Style number broken down) | eBay pants (Style number broken down) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| K09 | K09 | Don't know what this means, but it's identical. Is that a good sign? |
| M99 | E69 | Don't know what this means, but it's different. Is that a bad sign when it comes to whether these two pairs of pants are likley to fit the same way? |
| KHA | BLK | This almost certainly indicates the color: khaki or black. |
| E1 | 1P | Don't know what this means, but it's different. Is that a bad sign when it comes to whether these two pairs of pants are likley to fit the same way? |
Maybe style number does not matter very much and we should not get distracted by this. Maybe it does matter, though? I would appreciate learning from you.
This leads to the question of whether you think the eBay pants are likely to fit the same way as the pants we own?
We'd love your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
FWIW, Kenneth Cole's website does not appear to provide style numbers.
