A long shot because it's a shawl/poncho that this character (Paige) wears in one episode of a show called Degrassi. A Canadian teen drama made on a shoe-string budget.

I have been fascinated by this shirt for decades. You can barely see it on her shoulder here, it's the only still I could find. The fabric seems to be a synthetic polyester maybe? The shirt is a poncho style pull-over that is made of a checkerboard style mesh? It has tassels that are just squares linked together. I can't even find fabric like this or what to even call it. Any suggestions on finding this or the fabric it's made from would be awesome.
