First break and run. Asked r/billiards for some advice last week and f…
| I’m fairly new to pool so posted a video last week asking for critique while I try to get my first break and run. Many mentioned my rushed playing, lack of routine, overpowering the break and the starting position , and hitting the ball way too hard on every shot. I did my best to address all of these. There were a couple other things like queue being level and table speed. The queue being level is fair but I don’t think the tilt is quite as drastic as the wide angle video makes it seem. For the table speed, it certainly isn’t the fastest cloth by any means. However, I tend to favor stunning when possible, due to lack of skill, than trying to roll/bank my cueball into position. Potentially, the cloth may not be quite as slow as it seemed (probably IS but I’m looking to not have to spend money replacing it). Thanks for all the help last video. I finally remembered to chalk between shots… EDIT: Also, showing the full boring video to show I slowed down my process from last video which was like a minute 1:30 or something. Sorry, I don’t like hearing me breathe either. Also, some cueball positions didn’t go as planned…Or did they?!? No. [link] [comments] |
